Announcements

Spring is here!  Please continue with consistent homework and bedtime routines to help your child be successful in first grade.

The Spring Fling is almost here!  This is an end-of-school AND end-of-SOL celebration on Monday, June 2nd!  We will serve pizza 5:30-6:30 and have activities, games and a DUNK TANK 6:00-8:00.  Tickets are ONLY available in advance for $4.00--all children MUST be accompanied by a paying adult.  Buy your ticket today!

On Friday, June 6th we will have our Annual Field Day.  Be sure to send plenty of water with your child.  If you are able to volunteer, contact Brent Cashman (lead PE teacher) here at the school.

On Wednesday, June 11th, first grade will celebrate the end of the school year with a picnic and playtime next door, at City View Park.  A field trip permission slip will be coming home soon.

During the months of May and June, first grade will be completing district-wide tests.  Please be sure your child gets a good night sleep each night and eats a healthy breakfast each morning.

How You Can Help

As the weather is getting warmer, please keep in mind we still have occasional cooler days.  Be sure to send your child with the appropriate outerwear.  Students go out daily for recess and PE class.  Students who are not wearing a jacket on cooler days will miss out on recess.
